She is a graduate of WSU College of Veterinary Medicine, Class of 1990. She has practiced at both small and large sized animal hospitals as well as the Washington Horse Racing Commission, gaining experience with the latest medical techniques and equipment, the newest medications and treatments, and holistic wellness methods. Her approach to practicing medicine incorporates first and foremost compassion for animals, the latest healthcare technology, and good old fashioned common sense, to find the best way to provide care for animals. What guides Lisa's work is a deep care for all animals. Her philosophy about health care is that it has to be affordable so that their owners are able to come to get care as soon as they need it. Her belief is that you shouldn't be afraid to see the vet because of the bill. Her experience has shown that making care affordable means that she sees animals sooner and when she can get them better more easily. This results in a healthier and happier animal, a smaller bill, and a happier vet. Dr Bartel is married and the mother of 2 children. She and her family have a love of animals and share their home with heirloom chickens, peacocks, cats, dogs, ferrets, a hedgehog, parrots, parakeets, and fish. ![]() |
